Trademarks Link Bungie to Potential MMO "Destiny"
A series of trademarks and discoveries lend show to rumors that Bungie is working on an MMO titled Destiny.
Bungie, the studio that created Halo, is currently hard at work developing a mysterious unaccustomed visualize for Activision. Though zero official information has been released happening the project, rumors call it an action-oriented MMO codenamed or titled Destiny. Due to a newly uncovered trademark, image, and a Bungie staffer Tee shirt, these rumors are looking ilk they may have some verity backside them.
In October 2010, Bungie teased that it'd like to make a gimpy that was "always in that respect for you," hinting at an MMO. Bungie star network engineer David Aldridge was believed to have confirmed that Bungie was working on an MMO at GDC 2011, but the company later same he was retributory kidding around. The MMO rumor began equally a completely unsubstantiated report from an unknown source claiming to be an ex-Bungie employee that called Bungie's project Destiny and aforementioned it would equal "World of Warcraft in space."
Of late, website Halo.Bungie.Org discovered a supposed dummy corporation called Podophobia Entertainment formed by Bungie president Harold Ryan and composer Martin O'Donnell located at the former descry of Bungie's home bas. A stylemark hunt revealed that Podophobia filed to protect the name "Destiny" in extension to "video game computer software," along with a logo (see above).
A NeoGAF user curious about a symbol thumbed by Bungie administrator manufacturer Jonty Barnes provides a link between Bungie and the logo. Every bit seen below, Barnes' shirt features the pictur of the logotype on his left shoulder. Another shirt-related connection that nobody may have detected yet involves the other image on the front, which appears to equal a wing with a "7" in the center. Bungie also filed a bunch up of trademarks for name calling so much as "Cardinal Seraphs," referring to seven archangels (which have wings).
Altogether, the logotype, trademarks, and dummy corporation lead off to piece together a perplex that could exhibit the picture of a new, distance angel-related MMO in exploitation over at Bungie called Destiny. Either that, operating room Barnes was wearing an noncurrent T-shirt. Any Bungie has under wraps, we sadly North Korean won't see it at E3 2011, because Bungie is attractive a go along this class.
